Hosting notice
Who operates Shulkerboxes, what it stores and how to get help. The short version comes first, then the full notice.
In plain English
- Who runs it. Shulkerboxes is operated by Adaptive Perception, Inc. It is Minecraft hosting for US adults aged 18 or older.
- What we store. Your account, your Minecraft identity and your saved world, plus the records needed to run the server. Gameplay recording is on for pilot servers; chat is recorded only if you opt in. You accept once per notice version, and if you decline, you are not recorded and you do not join.
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email and your answers about what you want to play, and only use them to tell you when your server is ready.
- Help or deletion. Email support@shulkerboxes.com to ask for access, a correction, deletion or a copy of the world.
Summary
Shulkerboxes is operated by Adaptive Perception, Inc. This invitation is for Minecraft hosting for eligible US adults aged 18 or older.
We use your account and authenticated Minecraft identity, eligibility and participation decisions, saved world and operational records to provide hosting, control access and recover the world. Gameplay recording is on for pilot servers: we record player positions and actions, blocks placed and broken, inventories and the world files over time, tied to your Minecraft identity. Chat is recorded only if you opt in. Recordings are used to build datasets for training and evaluating AI systems, and those datasets may be licensed to other companies. Your world is saved as part of hosting. Playtime accounting and rewards, and process-memory snapshots are disabled for this pilot.
In the game, the notice has Accept and Decline buttons; the commands /platform-consent accept and /platform-consent decline do the same. You are asked once per notice version. If you decline, you are not recorded and you do not join. The owner cannot accept for another player.
Details
Hosting records include account and server ownership, invitations, your Minecraft UUID, the eligibility check result, your connection, the exact notice shown, your decision and its time, and the state needed to run the server. The saved world contains normal Minecraft world and player state and may contain text players place in it. The saved world and server logs are kept as part of hosting, separately from gameplay recordings.
Shulkerboxes is run by Adaptive Perception, Inc. Servers and saved worlds live on Google Cloud in the US, accounts in Supabase in the US, and the website on Vercel. Want your saved world? Ask us and we will send it. Datasets built from gameplay recordings may be licensed to other companies.
Your world is saved to storage when the server stops, as a recovery checkpoint. When an owner deletes a server, its saved world and checkpoints are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Account and hosting records are kept while the account exists. Deleted objects in the world-storage bucket can remain recoverable for seven days. Leaving or withdrawing does not erase what was already recorded or built; the privacy page says how to ask for deletion.
To stop taking part, type /privacy withdraw in the game. You are disconnected and recording of you stops. You can come back later by accepting the notice again. Declining or closing the notice means you do not join.
Contact support@shulkerboxes.com to ask for access, a correction, deletion, or a copy of your data. We answer within 30 days. Only the server owner can ask for the saved world, because it is shared with the other players on it; we explain what we can hand over or remove.
